The DashPass system is a ride reservation system introduced in 2000 by Cardinal Parks. It is named after the Rainbow Dash character from My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic.


In 1999, Cardinal Parks announced a new ride reservation system in order to compete with Disney's new FASTPASS system, beginning at the 2000 season.

In 2000, Cardinal Parks debuted DashPass at EpicPark for Rainbow Dash Express, The Racer and Pinkie Pie's Wild Spin.

In 2001, Wonder Kingdom was given the DashPass system.

In 2002, Atlantic Park followed.

In 2003, Jazzland introduced the system.

In 2004, the rest of the Cardinal Parks received the system.

In 2005, malfunctions occured with some of the Wonder Kingdom systems, and Jazzland closed due to Hurricane Katrina, leaving only about 6 parks with fully operating DashPass systems.

In 2006, Wonder Kingdom's DashPass systems were running smoothly again.
